Introduction

At AEO Verify (“AEO Verify”, “we”, “us” or “our”), we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data, meaning any information that identifies you or could reasonably identify you when combined with other information. This policy explains how we collect, use, share, keep and protect your personal data when you use our website at aeo-verify.com, our free audit, your AEO Verify account and workspaces, and any related services (together, the “Services”).

This policy applies to:

• Visitors to aeo-verify.com, including people who run a free audit without an account.
• Account holders, workspace owners and reviewers who use the Services.
• Anyone who contacts us, for example by emailing hello@aeo-verify.com.

It does not cover other companies’ websites or services, even when we link to them. By using the Services, you confirm that you have read and understood this policy.

What we collect

• Your account: your email, and your name and picture if you sign in with Google.
• What you set up: your website address, brand details, competitors and the questions you approve.
• Public pages of your website that you ask us to check: the homepage, robots.txt, sitemap, llms.txt and a few pages from the sitemap. We only fetch public pages.
• AI answers: the answers AI engines give to your questions, the sources they cite, and the labels and reviews you add.
• Payments: Stripe processes your payment details. We don’t store your full card number.
• Site usage: page views and clicks, counted without cookies and without identifying you.

What we send to other services

• Your approved questions go to the AI engines you choose: OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini). We send the questions only, never your account details.
• If you use “Fill from my website” or “Suggest questions”, the text of your public pages goes to Anthropic (Claude).
• Services that run the site: Cloudflare (hosting, email, bot check, PDF reports), Supabase (database and sign-in, in the USA), Google (if you sign in with Google) and Stripe (payments).

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in, and one cookie that keeps a free audit private to your browser for 24 hours. No advertising or tracking cookies.

How we keep it safe

We use encryption, access controls and other security measures designed to protect your data. Card details stay with Stripe.

How long we keep it

We keep data only as long as needed to provide the Services, meet legal requirements and maintain necessary business records. Some product data has retention controls you can manage in Settings. A free audit you do not save to an account is deleted after 24 hours.

Your choices

• Export: owners can download their data as JSON or CSV from Settings.
• Delete a workspace: owners can delete a workspace in Settings. There is a short window to cancel, then its data is removed.
• Delete your account: email hello@aeo-verify.com and we will delete your account and its data.
• What may be kept: records we must keep by law, such as payment and tax records, and short-lived backups until they expire.

Changes

If we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and provide any notice required by law.
